Job Description:

Mech Electrics are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Electrical Estimator to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical estimation, preferably with experience in solar energy projects. You will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates for various electrical projects, ensuring all aspects of the project are considered to deliver precise costings.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing detailed and accurate electrical estimates for projects, with a focus on solar energy systems.
Review project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand the scope of work.
Conduct site visits as necessary to gather information and assess project requirements.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive and competitive estimates.
Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best prices for materials and services.
Prepare and present estimates to senior management and clients, ensuring clarity and transparency.
Monitor project costs and progress, making adjustments to estimates as necessary to reflect changes in scope or conditions.
Maintain and update estimating databases and software to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

Degree Qualification in relatable field
Proven experience in electrical estimation, with a focus on solar energy projects highly desirable.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with attention to detail.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
