P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently recruiting a Junior Design Engineer to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full time, permanent basis.
Main Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with senior engineers, manufacturing teams and suppliers to develop design solutions that meet project requirements and objectives.
* Conduct research and analysis to support the design process, staying up to date with industry standards and emerging technologies.
* Create detailed 2D technical drawings and 3D models using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Inventor) to visualize concepts and facilitate the design review process.
* Using measuring equipment to create 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings from physical samples.
* Work closely with the manufacturing team to oversee the assembly of equipment and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
* Collaborate in the preparation of technical documentation, including design specifications, function test reports, and manufacturing data dossiers.
* Work closely with sub-contractors and suppliers.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Apprentice trained or foundation engineering degree / HND or HNC qualified.
* Strong understanding of engineering principles and design fundamentals.
* Experience of designing mechanical / hydraulic products.
* Proficiency in 2D and 3D modelling software (AutoCAD Inventor) and Microsoft Office.
Work Hours:
* Monday – Friday 08:30 – 16:30 (30 min lunch break).
