An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior CDM Principal Designer to join one of the largest independent consultancies in Scotland. The Junior CDM Principal Designer Role:
The successful Junior CDM Principal Designer will be part of a dynamic team, providing comprehensive Principal Designer and CDM advisory services across a variety of projects. This role is ideal for a motivated individual looking to build a career in construction design management and health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in providing Principal Designer services on a range of projects.
Support the preparation and review of pre-construction information, construction phase plans, and health and safety files.
Conduct design risk assessments and assist in implementing hazard elimination strategies.
Participate in site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Support the delivery of CDM and health and safety training sessions to clients and internal teams.
Collaborate with project teams to integrate health and safety into the design and construction processes.The Junior CDM Principal Designer Role:
Degree in a construction-related field is preferred.
NEBOSH Construction Certificate or willingness to obtain it.
Membership with IOSH or APS, or willingness to work towards membership.
Basic understanding of CDM 2015 regulations and health and safety practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
