Are you a Mechanical Engineering graduate with AutoCAD experience, looking to kick-start your engineering career with a growing manufacturer that will provide specialist training, hands-on project experience, and genuine progression opportunities?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company specialising in the design and manufacture of natural ventilation systems, louvres, and acoustic solutions. You'll become part of a supportive engineering team where you'll develop your technical skills, work on innovative projects, and play an active role in product design and development.

Due to continued growth, the company is looking to recruit a Junior CAD Engineer to support its expanding design team. This role offers excellent long-term career prospects and is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, develop, and build a career within engineering design.

In this office-based role, you will work closely with engineers and site teams to produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD. You'll assist with product design and development, submit drawings for approval, maintain drawing records, support project delivery, and help identify technical solutions throughout the design process. You'll also have the opportunity to order components and contribute ideas to improve designs and manufacturing processes.

The ideal candidate will hold a Mechanical Engineering degree, have a minimum of six months' experience using AutoCAD, and be looking for a long-term opportunity to develop within a specialist engineering business.

The Role

Produce accurate 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings
Work closely with engineers and site teams on a range of design projects
Assist with product design and development
Maintain drawing issue records and submit drawings for approval
Support project delivery and order components where required
Full training and long-term career progression
The Person

Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (BSc, BEng, MSc or MEng)
Minimum six months' experience using AutoCAD
Competent producing both 2D and 3D drawings
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Organised with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of ventilation systems would be advantageous but is not essential
