Position: Junior CAD Draughtsman.
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000
Location: Barton-Le-Clay.
Proactive are currently working with a client who are a market leader in their field based in Barton-Le-Clay.
As a Junior CAD Draughtsman, you will play a vital role in supporting the design team by assisting in the creation and modification of technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate with basic AutoCAD skills to further develop their expertise and contribute to real-world projects within the client's dynamic work environment.
You will be responsible for:
Collaborate with senior draughtsmen and engineers to produce accurate technical drawings and plans based on project requirements.
Assist in the preparation and modification of 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD software.
Ensure drawings comply with company standards, industry regulations, and project specifications.
Revise and update drawings as necessary in response to feedback from project stakeholders.
Over time there will be a requirement to occasionally visit client sites to survey and produce drawings for manufacture and approval.
Organize and maintain drawing files and documentation in accordance with established procedures.
Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with team members to ensure project objectives are met.
Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement in CAD software and related tools.
Experience/Qualifications:
One of NVQ, BTech or Degree desirable.
Basic understanding of drafting principles and techniques.
Basic understanding of AutoCAD software.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and software platforms.
Enthusiasm for the field of design and a desire to grow within the industry.
