Job Summary

The successful candidate will be a team member of the External Supply Chain. You will be accountable for the delivery of the immediate, short and mid-term supply plan in order to meet demands of our overall operational targets and deliveries. You will be able to manage risks where applicable and be responsible for the overall communication / expediting / planning of material to satisfy production demands.

Key Responsibilities

To define the supply parameters in the Companies Enterprise Resource Planning tool (ERP).
Participate in the Material Requirements Plan (MRP) validation process.
Accountable for the supplier on-time performance for your defined group of suppliers.
Informing suppliers of discrepancies and providing resolution where applicable.
Confirm and communicate requirements and changes resulting from the MRP to the supplier.
Issue the schedule agreements or purchase orders in line with ERP recommendations.
Negotiate dead-lines and quantities with suppliers within the limits of the contract.
Provide information and visibility necessary to the internal Manufacturing Area and suggest solutions in cases of imbalance.
Monitor and analyse the impacts of manufacturing defects in terms of yield and if necessary reschedule requirements to ensure commitments can be met.
Measure and analyse supplier performance in coordination with the Supplier Performance Matrix and provide the required weekly/monthly reports
Analyse the root cause of metrics not at target level and work with the SPM (where applicable) and external supplier to develop the necessary action/recovery plans.
Oversee the progress of manufacturing on the external supplier's site, manage delivery receipts, follow the flow through to reception of articles, manage administrative disputes and organise supplier returns.
Organise regular visits to the external supplier's site to hold progress review meetings or to discuss short term performance issues
Monitor external supplier capacity and provide an early warning to the SPM (where applicable) when problems are foreseen
Establish and implement actions plans to limit uncertainties and hazards in the short term horizon and work with the external supplier to shorten production cycles.
Analyse the impacts of requests for technical modifications and other changes within their scope of activity and implement the action plans.
Manage free issue stock and raw materials with suppliers
Operate and use efficiently the information systems used in the Supply Chain: i.e. ERP, Supplier Portal, Lean DNA and the desktop tools.
Working Hours

Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4pm, Friday 7:30am - 1pm
Essential Criteria

Previous experience working within an ERP System particularly material scheduling.
Production or material scheduling experience in fast paced, high volume industry.
Risk management experience including reduction and assessment of risks.
Competent Microsoft user inc Word, Excel, PowerPoint
