A leading family-owned food manufacturer are currently recruiting for a Junior Buyer on a full-time, permanent basis in Swindon, Wiltshire.
Role: Junior Buyer
Type: Permanent
Location: Swindon, Wiltshire (hybrid working pattern - 2/3 days onsite after successful probation)
Salary: £28,000
Key responsibilities for the Junior Buyer will include and will not be limited to:
Running MRP reports for raw materials and packaging
Chasing purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and escalating supply issues where required
Maintaining supplier relationships and obtaining updated pricing
Monitoring and responding to the purchasing inbox and day-to-day supply queries
Keeping purchasing spreadsheets, reports, and system data accurate and up to date
Supporting tenders and other procurement-related processes as needed
Key skills and experience required for Junior Buyer job applicant and will not be limited to:
Procurement or purchasing experience, with a proactive and organised approach
Strong supplier communication skills, including confidence making phone calls
Solid Excel skills and experience maintaining spreadsheets and purchasing data
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal stock held
Commercial awareness and a positive, solutions-focused attitude
Food or FMCG manufacturing experience (nice to have)
