Key Activities

Transaction Management: Oversee and accurately input daily financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and expenses, into accounting software to maintain up-to-date and error-free ledgers.

Financial Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations and balance sheets, ensuring that all financial data aligns accurately with bank statements and internal records.

Compliance and Reporting: Prepare and submit VAT returns, payroll reports, and other necessary financial documents, while ensuring all actions are in strict compliance with accounting laws and regulations.

Client and Supplier Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding accounting enquiries, providing clear, timely, and professional responses to ensure long-term client satisfaction and trust.

Inter-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments within the firm, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Human Resources, to share essential financial data and insights. This cross-functional teamwork ensures accurate budgeting, streamlined payroll processes, and overall fiscal responsibility in line with UK business practices.

What We Require in Return

* Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, ideally within practice

* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

* Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

* Technological adeptness, with proficiency in VT, Xero and Digita

* Willingness to work on-site in our Loudwater, High Wycombe office five days a week
