Assembly Operative (Joinery/MDF Manufacturing)
The Odin Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a skilled and reliable Assembly Operative to join a well-established workshop manufacturing high-quality MDF products.
This role would suit someone with a joinery or woodworking background who takes real pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. If you have excellent attention to detail, enjoy precision-based work, and have experience operating woodworking machinery, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
Working as part of a supportive production team, you will be responsible for assembling MDF products to a consistently high standard. You'll work from basic technical drawings, use a range of hand tools and machinery, and ensure every product meets strict quality standards before leaving the workshop.
What We're Looking For
* Experience in joinery, woodworking, cabinet making or a similar manufacturing environment.
* Confident using hand tools such as drills, saws, sanders, brad guns and glue guns.
* Experience operating woodworking or production machinery.
* Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings.
* Excellent measuring skills with a high level of accuracy and precision.
* A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
* Someone who takes pride in their workmanship and never cuts corners.
* Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
* Good concentration and the ability to maintain quality throughout the working day.

Hours
* Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
* Friday: 7:30am – 2:00pm
* Optional weekend overtime available depending on customer demand.
Pay
* £16.80 per hour (including holiday pay entitlement)
Additional Information
This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position.
Due to the workshop location and limited public transport links, own transport is recommended
