Joiner Multi Trade We are currently looking for a Joiner Multi Trade to work within a University environment in Preston for a well-established facilities and maintenance contractor.

This is a great opportunity to join an established maintenance team responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a busy university campus and its surrounding buildings. We’re looking for an experienced Joiner Multi Trade who is seeking a long-term temporary opportunity, with the potential for a permanent position in the future.

I’d be keen to speak to anyone with experience working within university, commercial, public-sector, facilities management, property maintenance, refurbishment or similar environments, whether you’ve previously worked as a Joiner Multi Trade, Carpenter Multi Trade, Multi Trade Operative, Maintenance Operative, Repairs Operative or in a similar role.

As a Joiner Multi Trade, you will be:

Carrying out planned and reactive joinery repairs and maintenance across university buildings
Completing carpentry and general multi-trade maintenance works
Undertaking additional trades including patch plastering, tiling and decorating where skilled
Diagnosing faults and completing repairs to a high standard with a right-first-time approach
Carrying out repairs and maintenance to classrooms, offices, communal areas, student accommodation and other university facilities
Working professionally around students, university staff, visitors and other contractors
Managing your own workload and completing jobs efficiently throughout the day
Responding to maintenance requests and ensuring works are completed within required timescales
Ensuring company vehicles, tools and equipment are used responsibly
Completing accurate electronic paperwork and following company health and safety proceduresI’d love to speak to anyone who has:

Proven experience within property maintenance, facilities management, commercial maintenance or a similar environment
Strong joinery/carpentry skills and a broad multi-trade background
Experience in additional trades such as plastering, tiling or decorating
The ability to work independently and complete high-quality workmanship
A professional, reliable and customer-focused approach
Experience working in occupied buildings or public-facing environments
Their own vehicle 
The ability to pass a DBS check if requiredNo formal trade qualifications or tickets are required — practical experience and a strong maintenance background are key.

This Joiner Multi Trade role is offering the following benefits:

£20 per hour
Weekly pay
39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Long-term maintenance workload

The role is based across a university campus in Preston. Candidates will be required to travel to and from the campus using their own vehicle.
