The Opportunity

Are you an experienced, time-served Joiner seeking ongoing, high-rate site work in Tyneside?

Search Consultancy is recruiting a skilled Joiner to join an active commercial development in Newcastle upon Tyne. Paying a top-tier rate of £25.00 per hour (CIS), this contract offers consistent 40+ hour working weeks and long-term project stability with a leading main contractor.

If you take pride in producing top-quality 2nd fix joinery, hold a valid Blue or Gold CSCS card, and want reliable weekly earnings on a professional site, we want to hear from you.

Your Role & Responsibilities

Working as part of a dedicated site team, you will deliver precise internal timber installations through to final handover:

Doors & Ironmongery: Hanging timber door leaves, installing sub-frames, and mortising locks, latches, handles, and door closers.

Internal Trims & Mouldings: Scribing, mitring, and fixing skirting boards, architraves, window sills, and dado rails.

Fixtures & Cabinetry: Assembling and fitting tea points, vanity units, boxing-in pipework, and installing architectural timber elements.

Snagging & Finishing: Performing clean finishing work, adjusting ironmongery, and remedying joinery snagging lists to site inspection standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

To satisfy site access rules and safety regulations, all applicants must possess:

CSCS Card: A valid Blue (Skilled Worker) or Gold (Advanced Craft) CSCS card in Carpentry & Joinery.

Trade Background: Time-served joiner with proven experience across commercial fit-outs, refurbishments, or high-end residential projects.

Tools & Kit: Full 110V or cordless 2nd fix joinery tool kit (mitre saw, plunge saw, routers, nail guns, precision hand tools) and standard 5-point PPE.

Transport: Reliable transport to commute to site locations in Newcastle upon Tyne daily.

Right to Work: Valid proof of right to work in the UK.
