£market rate (Outside IR35)

Glasgow / 5 days a week onsite

6 months initially

My client is seeking experienced Java Developers to join a dynamic delivery team building modern, scalable applications. This role will suit candidates with strong full-stack capability, combining backend Java development with modern front-end technologies such as React. You will work across microservices architecture, contributing to both design and delivery in an Agile environment.

Key requirements:

Strong Java (8+), Spring Boot & Spring MVC experience
Experience building REST APIs & microservices
Full-stack capability: React, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SCSS
Knowledge of JEE (JSF, JPA, Servlets, JDBC)
Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, Maven) and Git
Agile/Scrum environment experience
Familiar with IntelliJ (or similar IDEs)
Understanding of TDD & automated testing
Strong collaboration across product, QA & engineering teams
Awareness of web accessibility standards/tools
Nice to Have:

Node.js or Redux
FreeMarker
Performance tools (e.g. Glowroot, JProfiler)
AWS or cloud platforms
