I.T Technician

Description:

A secondary school in Newham are looking for a candidate to join them as an I.T/ICT Technician, they will need to provide practical support and act as a main contact point for students and staff within the departments. They will have day-to-day responsibility for the school’s lessons to run smoothly and be able to set up systems as required.You will need to be an approachable individual who is helpful and enjoys working in partnership with staff and students alike.

Job Responsibilities

* Support classrooms to assist teachers and students with live tech issues, interactive whiteboards/touch panels

* Supervise and monitor whilst supporting the students and constantly reinforcing school behaviour policies

* To promote the appropriate use of the systems and all equipment and ensure that the practicals lessons are successful and there are no delays with signing in etc

Preferred Skills

* Have worked as an I.T technician previously

* Have a good understanding of the responsibility of systems and data along with student safety, sharing equipment and passwords.

* Have good behaviour management

* Be able to prioritise work schedules and multi task

* Hold a valid DBS or apply for one
