The Role:

The role is supporting a sales-driven workforce, ideal for someone transitioning from a dedicated support position to a more dynamic and varied role.

We value informal experience and aptitude alongside formal qualifications.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, ambitious, and trustworthy, with a clear understanding of their strengths and areas for development.

This varied role requires a versatile skill set. Ideal candidates will have experience in some (not necessarily all) of the following areas, and training would be provided where gaps are present:

Windows Server
Windows 10/11
Active Directory
Group Policy
Hyper-V
Office 365
Microsoft Azure/Entra
Microsoft SQL Server
Microsoft Visual Basic / .NET
Duties will include:

Supporting and maintaining servers and end-user devices
Responding to users’ queries
Managing and testing backups
Managing antivirus
Ensuring Windows updates are tested and installed

Additional Opportunities:

In-between support the position has opportunity to gain .NET / SQL server experience and be creative in providing simple to high-end developments, and/or to provision an internal IT training role.

Experience of Visual Basic whether it be in the context of Visual Basic for Applications, .NET or Classic ASP would be desirable.

The successful candidate will report to the IT Manager.
