Location: Birmingham (Hybrid – 2 days in the office)
Network IT are partnering with a large organisation to recruit a Finance Systems Manager with solid experience in finance system configuration, administration, and support, alongside a demonstrated track record of managing end-to-end system change processes and leading technical resources. This position offers a balanced mix of hands-on technical delivery (50%) and strategic oversight of the finance systems landscape (50%).
This is a broad and business-critical role that goes beyond a traditional support function. The successful individual will bring strong strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, project delivery, and people management capabilities, alongside technical expertise.
The successful individual will be responsible for the Finance ERP environment—covering requirements gathering, system configuration, release management, and ongoing support—while collaborating with Finance stakeholders and technical teams to maintain stability and drive continuous improvements.

You will take ownership of the end-to-end management of the Finance ERP system, combining practical configuration work with oversight of delivery activities. This will include managing change pipelines, coordinating both internal and external technical teams, ensuring governance standards are met, and identifying opportunities for system and process enhancement.
A key aspect of this role is operating at a strategic level—engaging senior stakeholders, shaping the roadmap for Finance systems, and ensuring initiatives are delivered effectively through structured project delivery and strong leadership.

Lead the end-to-end change lifecycle from requirements to release.

Strong experience in finance systems configuration and administration (ERP or similar platforms).
Demonstrated ability to deliver end-to-end system change initiatives and oversee technical teams.
Evidence of strategic thinking and roadmap planning within Finance systems environments.
Proven experience in stakeholder engagement at multiple levels, including senior business stakeholders.
Experience delivering projects and system changes within structured frameworks.
Functional understanding of modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Expenses.
Experience managing release cycles, testing processes, and change governance frameworks.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and documentation capabilities.
Experience in leading, mentoring, or managing teams within Finance or technical environments
