Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive IT System Assistant to join our manufacturing team based in the West Midlands. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and maintaining the information technology infrastructure essential for our manufacturing operations. Responsibilities:
* Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving technical problems, and assisting with IT-related inquiries.
* Assist with the administration and maintenance of IT systems, including servers, networks, databases, and other infrastructure components.
* Assist with data management tasks, including data entry, data validation, and data integrity checks.
* Manage IT equipment and inventory, including tracking assets, managing stock levels, and coordinating equipment repairs or replacements as needed.
* Assist with IT security measures to protect company data and systems from cyber threats.
* Assist with the implementation of new software systems or upgrades, including system configuration, user training, and documentation.
* Maintain documentation of IT systems, procedures, and user guides.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IT systems and data management.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
* Proven experience in providing technical support and troubleshooting IT issues.
* Familiarity with IT infrastructure components such as servers, networks, databases, and software applications.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with end-users and technical team members.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industry-specific software applications (preferred but not required)
