IT Systems Specialist

3-month initial contract

£200 per day

Hybrid/Remote/Onsite in Chester

This position of IT Systems Specialist encompasses a diverse array of responsibilities within systems administration and support, focusing on the continuous management and enhancement of the general infrastructure support within the Hospital. Collaborating within the Senior Infrastructure Specialist Team, the role entails the administration, management, and support of all backend infrastructure services utilized across the NHS.

As a blend of technical expertise and customer service, the role demands the development, planning, and delivery of advanced technical support, encompassing both proactive and reactive measures. Daily interactions with customers and third-party maintainers are integral, alongside providing support and maintenance for the Informatics department's systems and assisting other senior infrastructure services. Moreover, the role requires offering technical guidance on various specialised systems to both technical and non-technical staff.

Key responsibilities include effective monitoring of a wide spectrum of IT systems to ensure system stability and uptime at a high level. Additionally, the incumbent will be accountable for conducting statistical analysis of data, crafting reports for internal and external review, and promptly addressing any system-related issues or inquiries.

Skills:

* Thorough comprehension of Microsoft systems and their utilisation within healthcare environments.

* Profound understanding of Virtualization technologies including VMWare, Hyper V, and Citrix.

* Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.

* Display expertise in system development, encompassing data collection, extraction, and reporting.

* Detailed familiarity with principles governing confidentiality and security of personal data.

* Knowledgeable about the recommendations outlined in the Data Protection Act.

* Proficiency in developing and delivering continually updated training packages tailored to user group requirements.

* Proven experience collaborating on projects and within group settings.

* Demonstrated capability to design and implement information systems aligned with organisational needs.

* Well-honed skills across various software packages.

* Experience within an IT support environment or similar capacity.

* Understanding of IT service management principles (ITIL) and their practical application.

Contract Details:

This is an inside IR35 contract role, offering competitive remuneration of approximately £200 per day via an Umbrella company.
