IT Systems Architect
2 Year FTC
Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire
Hybrid Working - 3 days in, 2 from home

Are you an experienced infrastructure professional ready to step into a strategic architecture role where you can shape end-to-end IT and OT solutions across a complex and evolving technical environment?
This is a hands-off Solution Architect position focused on defining and aligning technology solutions across infrastructure, networks, security, enterprise systems, and operational technology. You will work closely with internal teams and third-party suppliers to produce clear, structured designs ready for delivery.
You will play a key role in translating business requirements into high-quality technical solutions, ensuring consistency, scalability, and long-term supportability. The position offers exposure to both legacy manufacturing systems and modern cloud-based platforms within a hybrid environment.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in infrastructure engineering, alongside solid networking and cybersecurity knowledge. You will be confident engaging stakeholders, challenging ideas constructively, and driving consensus across multiple teams.
The Role:
*Lead end-to-end solution design across infrastructure, networks, security, and OT
*Produce high- and low-level designs, diagrams, and documentation
*Align technical stakeholders to a single agreed solution approach
*Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and constraints
*Provide architectural oversight during project delivery
The Person:
*Strong infrastructure engineering background (servers, storage, virtualisation)
*Experience designing solutions across multiple technical domains
*Good understanding of networking and cybersecurity principles
*Experience in hybrid environments including cloud and legacy systems
*Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
