IT Support Technician

Description:

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Support Technician to join their IT department on a temporary basis in Sutton Coldfield. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance. This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills, a strong understanding of computer hardware and software, and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all technical skill levels.

This is a temporary, ongoing assignment with an immediate start for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities of the IT Support Technician:

Provide technical support on a variety of hardware and software issues.

Configure and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals.

Troubleshoot network connectivity and hardware issues.

Manage and maintain the network and wireless systems.

Adhere to safeguarding policies.

Perform regular server back ups.

Ensure the security and integrity of the IT systems and data.

The ideal candidate for the IT Support Technician role will have the following:

Proven experience working in a technical support role.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.

Experience with network troubleshooting and administration.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

An Enhanced DBS is desirable but not essential as one can be processed.

Hours for this role are Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break.
