Description:
We’re recruiting on behalf of an established, fast-growing, IT service provider that has moved from strength to strength during recent years. Due to expansion, they are looking to recruit an IT Support Technician, to join their friendly, supportive team.
The successful IT Support Engineer will work as part of an experienced team made up of over 35+ years of collective experience within the IT industry, working on projects and tasks including first-time support and modifying/upgrading desktops and laptops, to CCTV installations.
Other responsibilities include:
Provide first-line technical support to clients via phone, email, remote assistance, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution of IT issues, prioritising in response to severity of the issue.
Assist in configuring, installing, and maintaining software applications, operating systems, and network systems under the guidance of the senior IT team.
Install and configure relevant software and hardware. Consisting of Office 365, Dropbox, and more, for customers depending on pre-agreed setup agreements.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems, including desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and changing components in our in house workshop..
Assist in setting up and maintaining network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
What you’ll need:
Previous experience within a similar Desktop Support Technician / IT Support Engineer role, or similar experience with the ability to learn
Have a decent understanding of Windows Operating Systems
A flexible and organised approach to work along with the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
Self-motivated, enthusiastic and have the ability to work as part of a team and independently using their initiative
Good communication and interpersonal skills
A positive, friendly, and collaborative attitude
Other Information:
Salary: From £26,000 - £30,000 Depending on experience
Working Hours: Mon - Fri: 08:00 – 1600 or 09:00 – 17:00
Location: Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent
