This is a fantastic opportunity for an IT Support Specialist to join a well-established, growing business in the Telford area.
The Company
Seymour John is thrilled to be working in partnership with an exciting and well-established business that require an IT Support Specialist to join their IT Department.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the IT Manager, your duties will include:
* Maintaining a log of all IT support issues to enable detailed management reporting
* Working with company staff or external partners on any IT issues
* Liaising with the company IT and vendors to progress requests made to external business partners
* Providing hardware support for PC laptop/desktop, Apple iPhone, Printers to all end users and any other hardware technologies that are in use within the business
* Providing software support within the business for applications such as Windows, Microsoft Office, Windows Server, Active Directory, Navision ERP, SharePoint and any other software in use within in the business
* Providing networking support based around TCP/IP, DHCP, LAN/WAN, firewall and VPN technologies
* Notifying all users of planned or unplanned downtime and coordinate the communication between any third-party service providers to ensure downtime is minimalized
* Undertaking any system administration required, ensure data is secure and backed up where relevant
* Conducting system audits as required and maintain associated IT documentation
Personal Profile
We are looking to speak with enthusiastic and proactive IT Support Specialists who have previous experience of working in a similar role. You must have a customer service orientated approach to your work and be an approachable, positive character. Key skills for this role include communication, problem solving and having a methodical approach to your work.
