Description:
Our client requires a Helpdesk/IT support Engineer with 2/3-year prior experience to join a 6 strong IT team based at their Bradford head office, looking after a variety of IT Hardware, Software and a user base of 200+ at multiple sites based around the UK.
The Helpdesk/IT Support Engineer will report to the IT Manager & Network Manager. The engineer is tasked with providing optimal value to our business by providing IT support at the first and second line for their head office & sites around the UK.
Job Responsibilities:
* Be the first point of contract for all Helpdesk calls
* Administer/Support the Microsoft servers, Virtualized environment, mainframe & cloud infrastructure
* Receiving and responding to incoming calls and support tickets through numerous channels of communication including email, telephone, internal requests, and automated alerts.
* Remotely diagnose and troubleshoot workstations, laptops, printers, VOIP telephones, mobiles, VPN and various software packages
* Performing daily checks, updates and maintenance to maximise the performance and availability of infrastructure and applications within the business
* Escalate relevant and more complex work to other members of the IT team
* Working with 3rd party vendors to resolve 3rd line issues
