Rise Recruitment Solutions is on the lookout for a highly motivated and driven IT Support Engineer to join a leading Manufacturing and Distribution company based in Leighton Buzzard. Our client is a world-class specialist in the supply, development and manfacture of custom contact lenses.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Location: Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire

The Role:

As an Entry-Level IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users. Your primary focus will be on resolving basic hardware and software issues, troubleshooting network problems,and ensuring smooth daily operations of our IT systems.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provide first-line technical support to end-users via various channels, including phone, email, remote support and in-person.

* Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.

* Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems, software applications, and security updates.

* Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and assist in resolving basic network problems.

* Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords.

* Educate end-users on basic IT procedures and best practices.

* Monitor IT systems to identify potential issues and perform routine maintenance tasks.

* Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff when necessary.

* Document all support activities, solutions, and knowledge base articles for future reference.

* Collaborate with the IT team to identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.

* Stay updated with the latest IT trends and technologies to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Person Specification:

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

* Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and networking concepts.

* Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

* Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional support

Education:

* GCSE. Grade C or above in English and Maths.

Qualifications:

* Certification in IT preferably CompTia A+ and Network+

Experience:

* Entry Level position, experience / strong interest in technology and a passion for solving technical problems
