Description:

Our Client is looking to recruit multiple IT Specialist on initial 6 month contracts who are based in Cardiff or Swansea.
The successful candidates will be required to assist the IT Support Manager with the support and delivery of IT services to both internal and external stakeholder. Undertake a team leader role and associated responsibilities for the Client Services Team providing support to your peers whilst ensuring the wider targets or duties for the service are achieved.
The post holder must be able to: -
* Establish and maintain effective written and verbal communication with individuals and groups of customers and stakeholders of all levels, explaining difficult and highly complex IT processes and issues often being the specialist contact.
* Arrange, lead and participate in meetings with various levels of internal and external customers and stakeholders to: o discuss and agree service requirements. o progress problems and issues. o answer queries.
* Facilitate discussions on IT related matters, dealing with conflicting requirements and priorities of customers. Refocus discussions where necessary, to resolve conflict and establish acceptable conclusions.
* Provide oral and written advice to customers in the use of systems and services developed by the directorate.
* Provide oral and written analysis and advice on the interpretation of data produced by those systems and products.
* Conduct formal training seminars on the use of the systems and products.
* Produce technical documentation that provides all necessary information to allow continuing maintenance and development of systems and services.
Candidates with experience of the following will be of particular interest:
* Experience of working in a technical support role and proven experience in the development and support of IT systems
* Experience of taking a lead role in developing and implementing IT systems and services
* Good communication and problem solving skills
* Ability to learn new technologies with minimum supervision
* Ability to analyse and resolve complex IT issues
* Able to communicate complex ideas to non-technical staff
* Ability to lead a team
* Ability to establish good working relationships of people at all levels
* Ability to work on own initiative whilst being an effective member of a multi disciplinary team
* Proactive & flexible approach to working
* Ability to travel across sites when required
* Ability to work flexibly
