IT Security officer – lead | 35-42K | on site Cambridge
Our client is a dynamic and innovative company dedicated to pushing the boundaries of connectivity technology. If you are passionate about cybersecurity and have a strong background in IT security management, we want to hear from you.
Due to growth of the IT dept, they are on the hunt for an IT Security officer to lead all security projects within the business, you will play a critical role in identifying potential security threats, implementing security measures, and responding to security incidents in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibility
Develop and implement IT security policies, procedures, and standards.
Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in our systems.
Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and respond to security incidents as needed.
Install, configure, and maintain security software and hardware, including firewalls, antivirus programs, and intrusion detection systems.
Provide training and support to staff on IT security best practices.
Run phishing campaignsQualifications/Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in IT security management or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
Experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection software.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
