Description:
Opus People Solutions are seeking an IT Security and Systems Administrator on a full time, permanent basis in Ipswich.
This organisation works on a hybrid basis, which to them means 3 days per week in the office, giving you a better work life balance.
The reason the role has become available? Growth. This business has grown exponentially and as such, needs a new colleague to work alongside the internal IT team and 3rd Party service providers.
Working within an internal IT team and working alongside 3rd Party IT Service providers you will play a crucial role in defining and implementing the security posture and solutions while also providing 3rd line technical assistance, troubleshooting, and resolving IT issues for colleagues across multiple sites.
This role is 50% Security, 50% Infrastructure.
Day to day:
Responsibility for security maintenance (Vulnerability, Patching and Logs)
Be responsible for a number new infrastructure and security projects and upgrades across a complex business.
Provide third line technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person. Resolve hardware and software issues promptly and effectively.
Provide an escalation point for technically demanding support issues, assist in their resolution if required and support the overall objectives of the IT function.
Skill mentoring junior colleagues
Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Management of third-party IT suppliers.
