Position: Project Engineer

Location: Glasgow

Salary: Up to £45,000

Work Model: Hybrid work model can be offered after onboarding, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Position Overview:

As a pivotal member of the team, the successful candidate will be entrusted with meticulously planning and executing client-centric projects aimed at enhancing and modernizing their existing systems, applications, and infrastructure. Covering a spectrum from on-premises solutions to cutting-edge cloud technologies like Azure and Microsoft 365, this role will play a pivotal part in our clients' journeys. Beyond project management, the Project Engineer will also engage in on-site support for IT hardware, software, and services, aligning with our contracted service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide second-line support through on-site visits to client sites.

* Maintain comprehensive and organized job-specific administration, including job notes, asset allocation, and post-support tasks.

* Curate and update client documentation, ensuring accuracy and relevance.

* Remain current with the company’s evolving products, solutions, and operational procedures.

* Cultivate an in-depth understanding of individual client IT requirements and nuances.

* Act as an escalation point for intricate support tickets.

* Deliver remote second-line technical support when on-site presence is not feasible.

* Adhere rigorously to service level agreements, consistently exceeding customer expectations.

* Lead end-to-end project management, from meticulous planning to successful execution.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

* Microsoft certification is advantageous.

* A minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT support or Field Engineer capacity, ideally within a managed service provider framework.

* Proven expertise in project planning and execution as a project engineer.

* Proficiency in networking protocols and practices.

* Hands-on experience in managing and configuring on-premises infrastructure, Microsoft 365, and broader IT domains.

* Effective fault analysis, management, and prioritization capabilities, ensuring prompt issue resolution.

* Exemplary organizational and time management competencies.

* A dedicated work ethic, coupled with adaptability to dynamic environments and challenges.

* Superlative customer service skills, enabling confident interactions with clients.

* Capacity to perform effectively under pressure and within high-stress scenarios.

* Distinct advantage: Microsoft certifications and a Full UK Driving License.
