* Salary: Rate: £450 per day Umbrella or £346.15 per day PAYE
* Hours: Full-time – 37 Hours
* Contract Length – 3 Months
Role Overview: As an IT Infrastructure Engineer specializing in Messaging/Exchange, you will be responsible for managing the migration of our current On-Premise 2013 Exchange Server to either On-Premise Exchange Server 2016 or Exchange Online. Additionally, you will conduct a comprehensive review of our current email/messaging architecture at WNC (West North Corporation) and propose priority recommendations for improvements. Subject to approval, you will implement these improvements to enhance our messaging infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Migration Management:
* Lead the migration process from On-Premise 2013 Exchange Server to either On-Premise Exchange Server 2016 or Exchange Online.
* Develop migration plans, schedules, and documentation.
* Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure minimal disruption to operations during the migration.
2. Architecture Review:
* Conduct a thorough assessment of the current WNC email/messaging architecture.
* Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) in the existing infrastructure.
* Produce detailed reports outlining priority recommendations for improvements.
3. Implementation of Improvements:
* Present recommendations to WNC stakeholders for approval.
* Upon approval, implement approved improvements to enhance the email/messaging infrastructure.
* Ensure that implemented changes align with industry best practices and security standards.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
* Collaborate with IT teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of messaging systems.
* Provide regular updates and reports on the progress of migration and implementation activities.
* Offer technical guidance and support to internal teams as needed.
