Description:

IT Asset Manager

My client is looking for an experienced IT Asset Manager to take ownership of their hardware and software asset management function, ensuring IT assets are effectively controlled, optimised and managed throughout their lifecycle.

This is a key leadership role, combining IT Asset Management, software licensing, hardware asset management and team leadership. You will work closely with IT, procurement, finance, service management and key business stakeholders to improve asset visibility, compliance and governance.

The Role

As IT Asset Manager, you will be responsible for:

*

Managing the full lifecycle of both hardware and software assets, from procurement and deployment through to retirement and disposal.

*

Maintaining accurate IT asset records and ensuring asset data is complete, reliable and up to date.

*

Managing software licensing, renewals, entitlement and compliance across a range of vendors.

*

Identifying opportunities to optimise software usage and reduce unnecessary licensing costs.

*

Overseeing hardware asset management, including laptops, desktops, mobile devices and other IT equipment.

*

Leading, supporting and developing the IT Asset Management team.

*

Establishing clear processes, controls and governance across the asset management function.

*

Working closely with Procurement and Finance on purchasing, renewals, budgeting and supplier management.

*

Supporting software audits and ensuring licensing compliance.

*

Producing regular reporting on asset utilisation, compliance, lifecycle status and associated costs.

*

Driving continuous improvement across ITAM processes, systems and ways of working.

*

Working closely with Service Management and infrastructure teams to ensure asset data is aligned with wider IT processes.

About You

My client is looking for someone with:

*

Strong experience within IT Asset Management.

*

Hands-on experience managing both software and hardware assets.

*

Strong knowledge of software licensing, licence compliance and software asset management.

*

Previous experience leading, managing or developing a team.

*

Experience managing IT assets throughout the complete lifecycle.

*

Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work across IT, Procurement, Finance and wider business teams.

*

Experience working with ITAM, ITSM or CMDB platforms such as ServiceNow would be highly advantageous.

*

A good understanding of IT asset governance, controls and audit requirements.

*

Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Experience working within a large or complex IT environment would be particularly beneficial.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Asset Manager to take ownership of a key function, develop a team and help shape the organisation’s approach to hardware, software and licensing management.

To apply, please send your CV outlining your IT Asset Management, software licensing and team leadership experience
