IT Application Support

Description:

IT Application Support Technician, up to £35,000 depending on experience, Monday to Friday, 8:00- 16:30, Office based in Stalbridge (not remote).

We are currently recruiting for a IT Application Support to join one of Dorset's oldest family run businesses in Dorset. This role involves supporting applications across three countries, working with a variety of IT technologies, and enhancing systems to ensure they meet the evolving needs of the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective technical support to the business and resolving IT related problems, both hardware and software. As an IT Application Support Technician you will need to able to demonstrate:

Application Development: Experience of some sort of user application development or scripting.
Desktop Support: Demonstrable experience in supporting desktop PCs and operating systems, including Windows 7 and 10.
Server Support: Demonstrable experience in supporting virtualised Windows servers and server operating systems from Windows Server 2012 and above.
Application Development: Knowledge of languages like Python, Javascript, MS-Office VBA, or similar technologies.
Database Management: Ability to manage databases and write TSQL queries.
Report Generation: Experience with report generation tools such as BIRT, Crystal, or Power BI.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an IT Application Support Technician who is looking to further develop their career. To be considered for this role you must have GCSE or equivalent in English, Maths and Computer Studies. Ideally you will have undertaken further education in a IT based subject and have used or have an understanding of Java script / Visual Basic. Some previous experience in a similar role is essential.
