Isolation Manager
North West London | Secondary School | September 2026 Start

Apex Educ8 is recruiting an experienced Isolation Manager to join a supportive secondary school in North West London from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a behaviour-focused education professional who is passionate about supporting students to overcome barriers to learning, improve behaviour and successfully reintegrate into the classroom.

The Role

As Isolation Manager, you will oversee the school's Isolation Provision, ensuring students remain engaged with learning whilst receiving the support and guidance needed to improve behaviour and make positive choices.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operation of the school's Isolation Provision.

*

Support students displaying challenging behaviour and provide appropriate interventions.

*

Deliver restorative conversations and promote positive behaviour strategies.

*

Maintain a calm, structured and purposeful learning environment.

*

Liaise with Senior Leadership, Heads of Year, SEND and pastoral teams.

*

Keep accurate records of behaviour incidents and interventions.

*

Ensure safeguarding procedures and school behaviour policies are followed at all times.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

*

Previous experience working within a UK secondary school.

*

Experience as an Isolation Manager, Behaviour Mentor, Behaviour Manager, Pastoral Support Officer, Inclusion Officer, Reflection Room Manager or similar.

*

Excellent behaviour management and de-escalation skills.

*

Experience supporting students with SEMH, behavioural needs or additional learning needs.

*

Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.

*

A calm, resilient and proactive approach to supporting young people.

Experience working within an Isolation Unit, SEMH provision, Alternative Provision or CAMHS setting is highly desirable.
