Due to expansion and modernisation, our client is looking for an additional member of staff to join their Supply Chain team. Working closely with the warehousing function, you will take on responsibility for the control and ordering of stock for certain items within their product range. This is a fast paced and rewarding role to join an organisation with the opportunity to progress your career into a management position.

Key responsibilities:

* Maintain accurate stock levels across multi-site locations

* Implementing purchases to reflect the business needs

* Ensure maximum margins of profitability are attained through close work and relationship building with suppliers

* Liaising with internal departments to co-ordinate the stock operational movements

* Audit existing and new suppliers

* Develop a database of reliable suppliers and ensure best terms are achieved

* Update the internal stock systems

* Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to ensure accuracy of stock levels

* Produce forecasts based on supply and demand

The candidate:

You will have gained specific inventory control experience previously in a fast paced setting. Experience of working with suppliers essential and the ability to negotiate terms. Strong IT skills and an accuracy and attention to detail required to ensure the smooth running of the purchasing function.

On offer:

A full time permanent position working 830am to 5pm Monday to Friday site based. Occasional weekend working. Generous salary and the opportunity to join the company as they begin an exciting period of growth.
