International Account Manager - Surfactants / Personal Care

£58,000 + £20,000 OTE + Car Allowance

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a leading provider of high-quality chemicals for personal care applications to recruit an International Account Manager.

With a commitment to excellence and sustainability, they specialise in manufacturing and distributing surfactants to personal care manufacturers globally. 

This position will focus on the growth of their existing international sales through a mixture of direct and distribution channels.

The business is looking for a clear communicator, confident, self-motivated, and proactive candidate with enthusiasm, a passion for sales and excellent at developing long standing relationships. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake a large amount of international travel.

It is essential for the candidate to be fluent in English and desirable to have some fluency in other languages, such as French, German and/or Spanish.

International Account Manager role:

As part of the sales team, actively promote the products and services into a global market outside of the UK.
Maintain and develop existing distributor and direct sales to customers – selling the technical capabilities of the business.
Keep abreast of all market intelligence as it affects their customers, suppliers, competitors, and their ability to compete most effectively in the market with both existing and new products & services.
Develop relationships and ensure regular communication with existing distributors and direct customers via visits, TEAMs, telephone, and email to maintain and grow current business and become their ‘go to’ person.
Be willing and able to talk with both the technical and commercial departments about manufactured products ranges to gain as much knowledge of product uses and the wider industry as possible, to be able to advise them to ensure they retain their customers but also to help with potential further projects.
Use application and industry knowledge to research and identify potential new customers/distributors and global regional opportunities and introduce them to their technical capabilities.
Manage the long-term nature of developing potential new distributors and customers and have the confidence to see them through to fruition.
Skills & Experience 

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Proven track record of success in B2B sales, specifically in the chemical industry.
Experience selling surfactants or related products into personal care manufacturing is highly desirable.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Willingness to travel as needed

Travel, as required and authorised. Special Requirements:
A strong technical surfactant background would be ideal.
Proven track record in growing sales in global markets.
Work under pressure and to strict and sometimes challenging deadlines, with the ability to prioritise own work.
Have the patience and tenacity to stay with long term projects, ensuring focus is maintained.
Work on own initiative but realise the need for the whole team to get the business done.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Have excellent administration, planning, organisational and time keeping skills.
Package: Excellent package to include basic salary, incentive scheme based on gross margin targets, pension, and car allowance. Incentive scheme is based on Libra’s principles of Protect & Grow
