Description:

Bouygues UK have an exciting opportunity for an Internals Site Manager, focussing on the internal trades element of the build. Working on our Flagship Regeneration Project on Hallsville Quarter Phase 3 (Silvertown Way, E16). You will be responsible for the delivery primarily of the internal aspects of the build. The dimensions of the block are as follows: 132 flats spread in 2 cores with a landscaped podium and various levels of roofs (up to Level 15). The 2 cores & podium are sat on a GF & L1 of 2,000m2 each, welcoming a health centre and commercial units - (scope: Shell & Core for commercial areas). 

Job Purpose and Scope:

You will manage the daily activities of the appointed subcontractors, in respect of Health and Safety, Quality and Programme. You will also manage the costs associated with the works and any variations, should they arise. Lead weekly progress meetings and produce the required timeline of works / action points. Sub-Contractor management to ensure projects are delivered on time and compliant.

Essential

Experience working with a main construction residential contractor or large subcontractor

Experience in Internal Trades management i.e. subcontractors

Knowledge of UK building regulations including UK H&S construction laws and their application

Ability to manage Assistant Site Managers and subcontractors

SMSTS, CSCS  Black Card (white card also acceptable in some cases) - must be current

Stress Management

High levels of quality standards

Ability to handle multiple tasks at once

Demonstrates strong attention to detail and produces accurate work

Accountabilities and key tasks:

Assist the Project Lead in the delivery of the Project

Assist with procurement of Sub-Contractors

Control of Sub-Contractors and directly employed labour

Liaison with the Client and their agents

Review of ongoing works with a view to highlight potential defects

Advising production teams on ‘lessons learnt’

Assist with the preparation of O&M’s

Lead daily Start Up meetings

Run Black Hat meetings

Manage the snagging/defects process
