Job Type: Permanent | Full-time
We are recruiting an experienced Internal Sales Executive to join an established UK business supplying specialist materials, processing services and tailored supply solutions to customers across engineering and manufacturing.
This is a proactive sales role combining account management with new business development. You will build strong customer relationships, understand individual requirements and provide commercially competitive solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop a portfolio of existing customer accounts
* Proactively contact customers to identify opportunities and generate new business
* Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products and services
* Respond to enquiries and prepare accurate, competitive quotations
* Follow up quotations and convert opportunities into orders
* Negotiate pricing while protecting margins and commercial objectives
* Process orders and keep customers updated throughout
* Build strong relationships with purchasing and engineering contacts
* Liaise with purchasing, processing, operations and warehouse teams
* Maintain accurate customer, enquiry and pipeline information
* Achieve agreed sales, margin and activity targets
About You
* Previous internal sales, account management or business development experience
* Experience supplying products or services to engineering, manufacturing or industrial customers would be advantageous
* A proactive approach and confidence making outbound sales calls
* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Able to develop new business while maintaining existing accounts
* Comfortable preparing quotations and managing orders
* Well organised, responsive and able to manage competing priorities
* Confident using CRM and order-processing systems
