Description:
Sales Engineer
We are looking for a Sales Engineer to prepare commercial tenders from the receipt of enquiry through to final submission, including technical work-up of pricing.
The Sales Engineer will act as an inside sales representative to liaise with clients to ensure a smooth sales process and ensure timely follow-up on bids tendered. You will support sales to ensure smooth handover of successful tenders to operations for execution.
We require a sound knowledge of high value commercial tendering and the preparation of detailed proposals. You will be commercially astute, working with the Business Development Managers to ensure competitive, fully compliant proposals are submitted on time. You will also have a sound knowledge of commercial terms and conditions and the negotiation thereof. You will have the aptitude to build lasting relationships with the client base.
Key Duties:
* Develop relationships with the client base in procurement as necessary
* Prepare sales quotations from enquiry receipt to submission and follow up
* Liaise with Sales Managers regarding bid compilation.
* Complete commercial conditions and other bid clarifications.
* Submit bids through client media systems.
* Support hand-over secured contracts to the execution team in line with company procedures.
* Report all work concisely, accurately and regularly as required by company procedures.
* Maintain accurate records as required by company procedures.
* Improve current tendering resources to improve accuracy, efficiencies and communication internally and to client.
Pay & Benefits:
* Salary of up to £29,500 per annum depending on experience
