Technical Pre-Sales Engineer – Air Conditioning
West London | Hybrid
£40,000 – £44,000 DOE | Private Medical
An established global air-conditioning manufacturer is looking for a Technical Pre-Sales Engineer to join its growing European technical team.
This could be an excellent next step for someone with 2–3+ years' air-conditioning experience who wants to develop beyond their current technical role and gain exposure to product development, software projects and a European distributor network.
The Role
You'll support distributors across Europe with a range of residential and commercial air-conditioning products, including splits and VRF systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Responding to technical enquiries from European distributors.
* Providing guidance on AC products and applications.
* Supporting new product introductions and development projects.
* Gathering feedback and technical requirements from the European market.
* Working with R&D teams on product improvements and future products.
* Helping create technical information and training materials.
* Supporting VRF selection software and other technical sales tools.
* Liaising with software developers and assisting with testing.
* Coordinating product testing with external laboratories.
* Supporting projects from initial requirement through to completion.
What We're Looking For
You'll need at least 2–3 years' relevant air-conditioning experience and a good technical understanding of AC equipment.
Experience with an air-conditioning manufacturer, distributor or specialist HVAC business would be particularly relevant.
Knowledge of splits, VRF or commercial air conditioning is important, while experience involving technical support, applications, projects or selection software would be beneficial.
You don't need to be a design engineer or have BMS/automation experience – AC product knowledge is the priority.
Additional language skills such as German, French, Spanish or Italian would be useful but aren't essential.
