Redditch, Worcestershire - Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days WFH)

Are you a technically minded engineer with experience in electrical, automation or industrial products looking to develop your career into technical sales and eventually a Business Development Manager position?
This is a great opportunity to join a global engineering manufacturer in a growing internal sales team, providing technical support to customers and external sales colleagues across a strong automation product portfolio.
The role is designed as a genuine development opportunity, with full product training and support from an experienced team. For the right person, there is a clear route from Internal Sales Engineer into External Sales and ultimately Business Development Manager, making this an ideal role for someone commercially minded who wants to build a long-term sales career.
The Role
Handle technical and commercial customer enquiries
Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable solutions
Prepare quotations and support the sales process
Provide technical support across electrical and automation products
Work closely with customers, external sales and product specialists
Build product and industry knowledge with a view to progressing into external sales/BDMThe Person
Technical background within electrical, automation or industrial engineering
Good understanding of electrical/technical products
Strong communication and customer-facing skills
Commercially minded with an interest in developing a sales career
Organised, proactive and confident dealing with customers
