Internal Proposals Engineer

Working for a leading engineering firm based in Falkirk, we are currently seeking an Internal Proposals Engineer to join a fast paced, forward thinking, hugely profitable business on a full time Permanent basis. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the internal sales function within the company. The salary for this role is up to GBP42,000 per annum.

What will you be doing as an Internal Proposals Engineer?

Perform initial review of scope and content of a tender enquiry package
Utilise computerised estimating package to create accurate and highly competitive and professional proposals documentation
Obtain competitive quotes from supplier and subcontractors for project estimates·Liaise with internal and external departments and stakeholders throughout the tender process
Ensure the potential customers requirements are fully understood within the tender submission
If the tender is successful you will attend kick off meetings to brief the project teams
What we require for the role of Internal Proposals Engineer?

Strong knowledge of Electrical Distribution/Control and MCC Panels. Knowledge of electrical distribution theory, cable sizing data, motor control techniques and field instrumentation systems. Knowledge of electrical control and protection.
PLC Control systems. Knowledge of PLC, HMI and SCADA platform definition, and configuration. Understanding of network design requirements for Control Systems. Experience of designing and configuring PLC control systems.
Telemetry Systems as used within the Water Industry. Knowledge of Telemetry hardware, communication mediums between site and the clients Telemetry Master Station (Top End) and the methodology of commissioning Telemetry systems on water sites.
Good knowledge of BGEN Ltd. engineering capability and practice
Familiarity with QA systems and compliance
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation and with clients.
