Our esteemed client, the Ministry of Defence partner in the UK, seeks an experienced Internal Communications Officer to join their team. The ideal candidate should possess a proven track record of working in internal communications within a complex organisation. The role offers an opportunity to apply and enhance one's skills while gaining valuable experience.

As an Internal Communications Officer, you'll work with a team spread across the UK, Italy, and France to keep 15,000 colleagues informed, engaged, and motivated. Your role also involves collaborating with colleagues in Communications to enhance the brand image of our client and their clients.

What we're looking for:

Considerable amount of prior experience in a role related to internal communications.
Substantial experience in managing stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, including senior leaders, and working with different cultures.
Good planning skills but ability to adapt plans to changing circumstances.
Excellent written skills with experience delivering content in various media and formats.
Knowledge of editorial and publication processes.
Capability to introduce process and procedural improvements that help us simplify our approach.
Deliver short-term improvements that take us towards our longer-term vision.
Committed to seeing things through, with an eagerness to learn and experiment.
Membership of or qualified by a professional body preferred (e.g. IoIC/CIPR)

This role involves collaborating with colleagues in the UK, France, Italy, and Germany to build strong relationships across the business and help stakeholders communicate their activities to audiences across the organisation. You should also have experience delivering compelling content across various media and formats. Additionally, you will be eager to measure your impact and bring fresh perspectives and ideas to help us provide effective internal communications that keep our people informed, engaged, and feeling like they belong to MBDA.

More about the role:

For more than 70 years, our client has been in a strong partnership with the UK military. They have accomplished numerous milestones in defence engineering and have provided essential defence capabilities to meet the requirements of the armed forces across land, sea, and air.

This role is based at their headquarters in Stevenage which plays a key part in missiles operations. The site also offers excellent transportation links and boasts an onsite gym and coffee shop. Training and development are offered to all employees.
