Role - Internal Communications and Change Manager

Location - Chilworth Science Park - Southampton

Client - The University of Southampton (NIHR)

Salary - £20- £24 per hour

Start Date - Asap

End Date - 1st April 2027

We're looking for an experienced communications professional to support a major organisational change programme. Working with senior stakeholders, you'll develop and deliver clear, engaging communications that help employees understand, navigate and engage with change.

You'll lead communication planning, create impactful content across multiple channels and act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, ensuring messaging is timely, consistent and employee-focused.

Key requirements:

Proven experience supporting organisational change, transformation or transition programmes
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
Excellent written communication and content creation abilities
Experience developing and delivering engagement campaigns
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environmentDesirable:

Understanding of restructures, redundancy processes or TUPE
Internal communications or employee engagement experience within a complex organisationPlease note: This is a fixed-term role with no direct reports. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping colleagues navigate a significant period of change.
