Description:

My client are looking to recruit a technically capable Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join their growing building services consultancy.
 
You will have 3-4 years of relevant experience to develop their technical expertise, take greater responsibility for project delivery and progress towards a Senior Engineer role.
 
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be involved in the design and delivery of electrical building services systems across a variety of projects. You will work closely with senior engineers, architects, clients, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered to a high technical and professional standard.

Key Responsibilities:
 
·Assist in the design and delivery of electrical building services systems across a range of projects.
·Prepare electrical calculations, specifications, schematics, layouts and technical documentation.
·Develop and coordinate electrical designs in accordance with project requirements.
·Ensure designs comply with relevant British Standards, Building Regulations, CIBSE guidance and industry best practice.
·Work closely with mechanical, structural and architectural teams to coordinate multidisciplinary designs.
·Attend design team and project meetings and provide technical input where appropriate.
·Liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers to resolve technical queries and support project delivery.
·Assist with the review of drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
·Identify design issues and develop practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.
·Support and provide guidance to junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
·Continue to develop technical knowledge and work towards professional registration/Chartered Engineer status.
 
Key Skills and Experience:
 
·Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent relevant qualification.
·Approximately 3-4 years' experience within building services consultancy, construction or a related engineering environment.
·Good technical knowledge of electrical building services systems.
·Experience working on electrical design projects from concept through to detailed design and construction.
·Familiarity with relevant UK standards, regulations and industry guidance.
·Good understanding of electrical calculations, design principles and technical documentation.
·Experience using relevant electrical design and engineering software.
·Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
·Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
·Organised and able to manage multiple tasks and project deadlines.
·Commercial awareness and an understanding of project costs and resource requirements.
·A proactive approach with the ability to work independently while knowing when to seek support from senior team members.
·Working towards Chartered Engineer status is desirable.
