About the role
We’re working with an established provider supporting older people in Norfolk who requires an Interim Support Manager to provide short-term operational leadership and stability across a busy service. This is a hands-on assignment, ideal for someone confident stepping into a service quickly, embedding good practice, and supporting a team to deliver consistently high-quality, person-centred care.
Key responsibilities
Provide day-to-day leadership to the service, ensuring safe, high-quality delivery of support
Support the Registered Manager with operational oversight and service improvement
Maintain strong standards around safeguarding, risk management, medication processes and care planning
Coach and support staff, including supervision, performance management and rota/staffing support
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, internal policies and best practice
Liaise with families, external professionals and stakeholders to promote positive outcomes
Support with audits, action plans, and ensuring documentation is consistently up to date
What we’re looking for
Proven experience in a Support Manager / Deputy Manager / Service Manager role within older people’s services
Strong working knowledge of compliance and quality standards in social care
Confident leading teams through change, stabilisation or improvement activity
Excellent communication skills and a calm, pragmatic approach
Ability to work on-site in Norfolk and commit to a 3–6 month assignment
