Description:
We are seeking an experienced Interim Support Manager to join one of our clients small elderly nursing homes in Suffolk. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in nursing home management, dementia care, CQC compliance, and care planning. This position is a temporary contract role, ideal for a professional who can step in and provide immediate support and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Nursing Home Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the nursing home, ensuring a safe, caring, and effective environment for residents.
- Lead and manage the nursing and care staff, ensuring high standards of care and support.
- Implement and monitor policies and procedures to ensure smooth operation and high-quality care.
- Ensure that the nursing home meets all regulatory requirements as set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain compliance and address any areas of concern promptly.
- Prepare for and manage CQC inspections, ensuring that the home achieves and maintains high ratings.
- Develop comprehensive care plans for all residents, focusing on individual needs and preferences.
- Regularly review and update care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and health care professionals.
- Ensure that care plans are effectively communicated to and implemented by the care team.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in nursing home management, with a strong track record of success.
- Expertise in dementia care and the ability to support staff in this area.
- In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance requirements.
