Interim Promotions Manager | 6 Month FTC | Retail + B2B | Hybrid/2-3 Days a week in Essex | Immediate Start | £500 day rate - outside of IR35

About Us: ZD are really excited to be supporting a leading player in the distribution industry, committed to delivering excellence. As they continue to grow and evolve, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join their team as an Interim Promotions Manager on a 6-month contract basis - outside IR35

Role Overview: As the Interim Promotions Manager, you will take a lead on delivering a commercial promotional plan, including national and bespoke promotions, to deliver revenue and profit growth and support the growth of strategic supplier relationships.

Responsibilities: In the position of Promotions Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Create and implement the annual promotional calendar and trade plan
Proactively engage and influence the supply base to ensure excellent execution of all promotions on a national scale
Develop a tool to calculate the anticipated impact from promotional activity
Develop and implement a promotional process with clear responsibilities and accountabilities
Understand the system restrictions and make suggestions for workarounds
Develop a tool to measure the ROI on promotions and the halo impact on associated ranges and publish weekly
Work closely with the Interim supply consultant and the Supply Chain Managers to align the promotions process with the stock ordering process to ensure that go/no go takes into account stock availability
Work closely with the Category teams to ensure that suppliers are prioritised based on profitability as well as customer
Establish a regular meeting schedule with the sales team/contact centre to report on upcoming promotions and obtain feedback on promotional plans
Work closely with the marketing team to ensure that processes are aligned
Provide a regular update on competitor promotions and feed in to weekly reporting
Advise on the most effective way to incorporate the new processes in to the category teamsThe position of Interim Promotions Manager is a role that will see you using your excellent relationship skills to pull together cross functional teams, to ultimately ensure everyone is taking ownership of their areas to deliver the overall trade plan and yearly promotional calendar.

A mix of retail and B2B promotional planning experience
A track record of setting up processes with a clear measure of ROI
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build and maintain cross functional relationships
