Description:
Our client, a distributor of building materials and associated products in the Midlands, is looking for an interim project manager to support on-going digital transformation.
With the programme currently focussed on data strategy and BI / MI tooling, the role requires extensive experience of strategic data planning in an Azure environment with a multi-vendor tech stack.
What you’ll bring to the team

* A strong project manager used to working in an Agile environment
* Experience working with Azure DevOps
* Ability to help breakdown technical requirements in the data space and express data engineering user stories
* Ability to align a project across multiple functions and regions
* Manage project plans & measure to budgets

* Maintain risk register
* Produce high quality project updates
* Stakeholder alignment
What you’ll be doing
You will be responsible for leading a team of Data Engineers and Analysts delivering Azure technologies including Datalake and Synapse Analytics to support the data science initiatives around reporting and analytics
* Facilitate project planning / reviews, daily stand-ups, and sprint retrospectives
* Coach team members in Agile framework
* Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
* Work with product owner to handle backlogs and new requests
* Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur
* Help teams implement change effectively
* Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
* Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity
* Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product
* Address and resolve any technical issues related to work within the data engineering scrum team
