Description
Manage procurement and supply chain operations for the public sector and government department
Oversee contract negotiations and contract compliance
Ensure cost-effective sourcing and purchasing of goods and services
Develop and implement procurement strategies
Maintain supplier relations and manage disputes
Comply with NHS regulations and policies
Participate in team meetings and contribute to overall department goals
Report to senior management on procurement and contract performanceProfile
A successful 'Interim Procurement and Contracts Manager' should have:
Relevant degree or professional qualification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management
Prior experience in procurement and contract management, preferably within the NHS
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
Excellent understanding of procurement processes and regulations in the public sector
