My client is seeking a dedicated Payments Assistant to support the Finance team in London. You will be helping maintain the smooth operation of our accounts payable department and contribute to our mission of ending homelessness and rebuilding lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the accuracy and authenticity of invoices and supporting documentation.
Register and scan invoices onto the purchase ledger system.
Match invoices with purchase orders and follow up on outstanding items.
Communicate with budget holders and suppliers to resolve discrepancies.
Support the preparation of the weekly payment run.
Handle queries from suppliers, employees, and managers efficiently.
Maintain adherence to policies and procedures.Essential Skills and Experience:
Experience in a busy service environment dealing directly with the public or customers.
Proven ability to follow defined procedures meticulously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain enthusiasm and attention to detail in routine tasks.
Experience working as part of a team.Desired Skills:
Previous experience in a finance team is a plus.
