Interim HSE Manager

Project Management of a new site HSE systems & processes.

Outside IR35

Day rate circa £(Apply online only) (negotiable doe)

Midlands based

3-6 Month duration.

Are you an experienced HSE Interim contractor looking for your assignment?

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic HSE Team as an Interim HSE Project Manager!

What You'll Do:

In this pivotal interim role, you'll lead the establishment of a Safety First environment at our new site. Your mission will be to implement a comprehensive framework of checks and audits during the final setup stages, ensuring a seamless transition to business as usual with impeccable compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with contractors to ensure a compliant site handover.
Safety & Risk Assessment: Ensure safe installation and conduct risk assessments of all new machinery.
Compliance Mapping: Develop and maintain the Compliance Calendar for audits and routine checks.
Risk Management: Establish our UK Risk Register and perform full site risk assessments.
Procedure Validation: Sign off on all safe operating procedures and plan safe equipment storage.
Continuous Improvement: Partner with the site HSE team to drive ongoing improvement initiatives.
Consult & Advise: Provide expert advice on maintaining a safe working environment and handle accident and incident investigations.
Incident Management: Support the Site Manager with serious investigations, reporting, and escalation of incidents.
Training & Development: Deliver a comprehensive suite of site-specific training materials, including new starter inductions.
Policy Support: Assist the onsite HSE team in writing and reviewing policies.
Best Practices: Establish an audit framework of routine checks to promote industry best practices.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with global security assessment teams and manage a robust end-of-contract handover with stakeholders.
What You'll Bring:

Qualifications: NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: At least 3 years of people management experience and a background in new site Project Management.
Skills: You’re known for your innovative ideas, solution-focused mindset, and excellent communication skills. You are organized, methodical, and detail-oriented, with a knack for engaging with all levels of the organization.
Passion: You have a keen awareness of the market and sector trends and are driven by a commitment to excellence and innovation.
