Description:
Our client, a growing technology business based on the outskirts of Cambridge, has an urgent requirement for an interim Group Accountant. The role is being offered as a 6-9 month, fixed term contract and is required to provide additional capacity for the finance team.
Working closely with both the Group Financial Accountant and the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for;
* Month end and year end postings including accruals, prepayments and fixed assets
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Dealing with auditor queries during interim and year end audit
* Support with tax reporting responsibilities such as VAT & corporate tax
* Build and use reporting from the ERP system and Adaptive Planning and Budgeting to provide business insights
* Work with the management team as required during the budgeting and reforecasting process to ensure alignment around financial goals and objectives
* Act as a key point of contact for finance and forecast related queries
This is a varied role which would suit either someone who has recently qualified who is keen to learn, or alternatively, someone with more experience who would enjoy working as part of a high performing team.
Interested candidates will be fully qualified - ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent. You will have strong analytical skills with good attention to detail and have a continuous improvement mindset. Finally, candidates will possess a good working knowledge of international accounting standards.
